Seat Heater Integration Harness (1998–2002)- 100 Series Land Cruiser / Lexus LX470
 
When upgrading an early-model 100 Series Land Cruiser or Lexus LX470 (1998–2002) to scheel-mann Vario heated seats or Vario Klima heated and cooled seats, the factory Toyota seat and its integrated wiring are removed along with the original seat frame.
 
This harness is designed to retain the factory Toyota seat heater switches located in the center console, allowing them to continue controlling the heating elements in your new scheel-mann seats.

What this harness does
This is a direct heater integration solution that connects:
The factory Toyota floor harness
Directly to the heating elements in scheel-mann Vario or Vario Klima seats
No cutting or permanent modification of the vehicle wiring is required.
 
Because early 100 Series vehicles use a different seat belt connector style, this kit includes replacement terminal pins so your original seat belt connector can be reused.

Early 100 Series vehicles do not use the same 5-pin seat belt buckle connector found in later models. To address this:
This kit includes seat belt harness terminal pins
Your original seat belt connector housing is reused
This ensures proper compatibility without introducing non-OEM connectors.
 
Heating control architecture (important)
Like later 100 Series vehicles, 1998–2002 models do not use a thermistor-based heater control system.
Heater control is based on a series / parallel circuit architecture
There is no voltage modulation via a thermistor
As a result, no scheel-mann thermistor is used or required
This harness interfaces directly with the factory heater circuit as Toyota designed it.
 
Klima seat considerations
Because this harness retains the factory Toyota heater switch circuit:
The scheel-mann supplied heater harness is not used
If installing Klima seats, the cooling system remains independent
Cooling is operated using the scheel-mann supplied round switches
Heating and cooling systems remain electrically separate.
