OCS & Airbag Safety
Q: Does the OCS pressure pad safety issue affect Tacoma, FJ Cruiser, or 4Runner?
A: No. The pressure pad and passenger occupancy detection issue that comes up in some of our outreach is specific to platforms like the 100 Series/LX470, Sequoia, Tundra, and GX460/GX470. Tacomas, FJ Cruisers, and 4Runners use a different occupant detection setup and are not affected.
Seat Compatibility & Portability
Q: Can I move my scheel-mann seats to a different vehicle later?
A: Yes. All scheel-mann seats share the same mounting points, so moving them into a different vehicle down the road is possible. You will need the mounting bracket specific to that new vehicle platform, since the Tolerance Stack bracket is vehicle-specific and is not interchangeable between platforms.
Klima Seat Ventilation
Q: Can I add an ARB twin compressor under my seat with Klima seats?
A: No. The Klima (heated/cooled) seat configuration requires integrated storage in the mounting bracket to accommodate the cooling fans and ductwork. That storage unit occupies the full under-seat space, and its internal volume would not fit a compressor regardless. For more detail on this topic:

Q: The mounting bracket has square cutouts for switches. Do the round Klima switches fit in them?
A: No, and this is intentional. The square cutouts on the face of the Klima pan are 20.5mm x 20.5mm, designed for OEM-style 22.5mm cube switches. They were never intended for the round temperature control switches that come with the scheel-mann Klima system.
The square cutout locations are primarily for out-of-the-way switch applications -- dash overflow, or switches that don't need frequent interaction. The round Klima switches require easy access and a clear view of their current state, so the best mounting locations are the center console or dash. The square cutouts work well with aftermarket cube-style switches for other accessories.
Q: Is storage an option on the Klima seat pans?
A: Storage is not optional on Klima seat pans -- it is standard on all of them. The cooling fans and ductwork on the underside of the Klima seats made integrated storage a functional necessity, so every Klima pan is built with it included.
