Pricing & Mount Options​
Q: Can't I just use a less expensive bracket from another manufacturer?
A: You can. But you will not get a seatbelt mount that moves with the seat, you will not get a rigid welded mount that holds position no matter the situation, and you will not have access to under-seat storage. You also will not get the 80 Series power harness that is included with our kit.

Q: Does your mount fit the FJ80?
A: Yes. Our mount fits both the FJ80 and the FZJ80. Power seats were never offered on the FJ80, so you won’t need the seatbelt extension harness. The one thing to plan for is the seat belt buckle (see the next question).
Q: My FJ80’s seat belt buckles bolt to the floor. Will that work with your mount?
A: On the FJ80, both front buckles bolt to the floor between the seats on extended stalks, the same as the 60 and 62 Series. On the FZJ80, the buckle is attached to the seat and moves with it, and our mount is built around that setup.
We recommend converting to FZJ80 seat belt buckles. Used ones are easy to find on eBay. With the buckle riding on the seat, it stays in the same place relative to you wherever you set the seat. That’s more secure and more comfortable.
If you’d rather keep the factory floor buckles, you can. Just don’t leave out our seatbelt bracket and spacer. Without them, the seat sits 3/16" lower and the cushion presses against the side plate. Contact us when you order and we’ll swap in two spacers at no extra cost.

Q: When will my brackets ship?
A: Mounts ship within 1-3 business days when it shows they are in stock on this site. The seats, provided they are in stock, typically ship 3-5 days after order. To confirm availability of the specific model you want before ordering, check the Seat Tracker:

Seat Features & Installation
Q: Can you confirm that the bottom of the Vario XXL lifts up for under-seat storage access?
A: Yes. The cushion base lifts to reveal the storage compartment -- no locking mechanism to disengage first. The following article covers the full detail. It references a different mount platform, but all the seat-specific information is the same:

Q: Do I need to add the seatbelt extension harness separately?
A: Yes, and it is sold separately because not every 80 Series needs it. On some trucks, the in-seat wiring acted as the extension harness between the floor and the buckle. When the factory seat is removed, that middle section of harness goes with it. Our cable bridges that gap. Whether your truck needs it depends on how the original seat harness was routed -- if you are unsure, contact us before ordering. FJ80s never need it, since power seats weren’t offered on that model.
Q: Is there no way to reliably integrate OEM Toyota switches (P/N 84751-60020 and 84751-6001) using your harness?
A: The short answer is not reliably, which is why we committed early to the scheel-mann switch approach. Some 80 Series trucks may also require a kick panel relay, as not all came with one pre-installed from the factory. For that specific switching detail, Toyota Land Cruiser forums are the best resource, as the variation between trucks goes beyond what we can document for every configuration.
