Mounts & Fitment
Q: Which mount should I buy for the driver side?
A: The KLIMA driver mount. It has an integrated storage box and works for both heated and KLIMA heated and cooled seats. The heat-only driver mount is a special-order item, built in 3 to 4 weeks. You only need it if you have hardware or electronics under the seat that can't be moved to clear the storage box.
Q: What about the passenger side?
A: The passenger mount fits heated scheel-mann Vario F and Vario F XXL seats (not KLIMA). It's built to order in 3 to 4 weeks.
Q: Why do I have to send you my passenger pressure pad?
A: The 4th Gen passenger seat uses a pressure pad in the foam to tell the airbag system someone is sitting there. To keep it working, you remove the pad from your factory passenger seat and send it to us. We install it in your scheel-mann seat before it ships. This keeps occupant sensing working and prevents SRS errors.
Q: Do I need donor rails?
A: Only if your factory seats are powered. Trucks with manual seats reuse their own rails. For powered seats you need manual donor rails, and we can supply them.

Seat Height and Layout
Q: Where does the seat sit?
A: The KLIMA driver mount puts the seat just below the middle of the factory seat's height range, which is where most people run the stock seat. The heat-only mounts have two positions: Standard for average height and Tall for more legroom. Both fix the common problem of aftermarket seats sitting too high in the 4th Gen.
Q: What are the two switch holes for?
A: Toyota 22.2 mm cube accessory switches only. They aren't meant for the scheel-mann heat or cooling controls, which need to sit closer to you so you can reach them safely.

Heat, Airbags and Extras
Q: How is the seat heat wired?
A: The KLIMA driver mount includes a heater extension harness for the scheel-mann heater wiring, and the heat runs on the scheel-mann switch. KLIMA cooling controls mount with the hardware scheel-mann supplies.
Note: some 4th Gen 4Runners came with factory heated seats. If yours did, let us know when you order.
Q: Will I get an airbag light?
A: No, when it's installed per the instructions. The factory seat belt location is kept, the factory sensors stay in use, and the in-seat airbag is replaced by the included vehicle-specific airbag proxy.
Q: Is there a place for a phone or radio mount?
A: Yes. An inner transmission tunnel RAM mount bracket is available as an option.

Q: Is the GX470 the same?
A: Close, but not identical. The rails sit at a slightly different offset. Contact us about the GX470.
