This driver-side seat mounting system allows you to upgrade your 4th Generation Toyota 4Runner with scheel-mann KLIMA Vario F or F XXL seats. This KLIMA-specific design includes an integrated storage box and dual 22.2 mm Toyota-style cube accessory switch locations.

This is a vehicle-specific, custom-fit bracket system engineered specifically for the 4th Gen 4Runner. It is not a universal mount.

All materials and backrest heights are supported.

Seat Rails

If your 4th Gen 4Runner has factory manual seats, no donor rails are required.
If your 4th Gen 4Runner has factory powered seats, donor manual rails are required.
Donor manual rails can be supplied by Tolerance Stack.

Seat Height
This KLIMA mounting system positions the scheel-mann seat at just below the midpoint of the OEM 4th Gen 4Runner seat’s height adjustment range. This height placement was selected to reflect the most commonly used OEM position.

Important Notes

Switch Holes
The two integrated switch holes support Toyota 22.2 mm cube switches only. These openings are not intended for scheel-mann heater/cooler controls, which must be positioned closer to the driver for proper ergonomics and operation.

Safety Systems & Airbag Integration

This mounting system is engineered to retain the 4th Gen 4Runner’s factory safety systems:

OEM seat-belt mounting location is preserved
Toyota load-cell sensors remain in use
SRS airbag functions remain operational
The removed in-seat airbag is compensated with the included vehicle-specific Type 1 airbag proxy

When installed per instructions, this system prevents airbag warning lights.

Heating & Electrical Integration

scheel-mann KLIMA seats include heating and cooling with independent harnesses and switches.

Because the 4th Gen 4Runner did not come with factory heated seats, a heater extension harness is included for use with the scheel-mann seat heater wiring.

Cooling controls for KLIMA seats are mounted using scheel-mann’s supplied hardware.
