This repair kit is intended for situations where a failed seat heater computer has also caused heat damage to the connector and terminal pins, requiring replacement of both components to restore proper seat heater function.
Based on field experience, the original terminal pins appear to be undersized for the application, making connector overheating and terminal damage a relatively common failure mode when the seat heater computer burns up. While no upgraded connector design is currently available for this circuit, replacing the damaged connector and terminals allows the system to be repaired and returned to service.
This version of the kit provides the connector housing and loose female terminal pins only. It is best suited for installers who are comfortable performing open-barrel terminal crimping and who already own the proper crimping tools for this style of terminal.
We recommend cutting and replacing all four terminals at the same time, even if only one shows visible damage. Before removing the original connector, take clear photos to document wire positions and pin orientation to avoid wiring errors during reassembly.
Included Components
- (1) Seat heater computer connector housing
- (4) Loose female terminal pins
Looking for an easier installation? A pre-crimped connector pigtail upgrade kit is also available and eliminates the need to crimp new terminals.
