Building a custom seat setup? Using universal seat mounts because a vehicle-specific solution doesn’t exist yet? You still need a solution for your Driver Position Sensor.
Most of our vehicle-specific Tolerance Stack seat mounting kits are designed to retain the factory Toyota slide rails. This is ideal because the OEM rail contains a specific "window" or cut-out that interacts with the sensor to detect if the seat is slid too close to the steering wheel (modifying airbag deployment).
However, when you switch to universal aftermarket rails, that factory rail geometry—and the sensor mounting point—is gone. Without the sensor connected, you will have a persistent dash warning light.
The solution is to physically mount this sensor on universal setups. This eliminates the need for zip-ties and keeps the sensor secure.
Important Safety & Functionality Note: While this mount secures the sensor and keeps the SRS system electrically satisfied (preventing dash lights), it does not replicate the factory "position sensing" logic.
OEM Function: In a stock setup, the sensor detects when the seat is dangerously close to the steering wheel (via a window in the rail) and adjusts the airbag strategy accordingly.
Universal Function: Because aftermarket rails do not have this specific magnetic window, this mount fixes the sensor in a static state.
Installer Responsibility: By using this mount, you acknowledge that the system will likely no longer dynamically detect if the driver is sitting "too close." It is the responsibility of the installer/driver to
maintain a safe distance from the steering wheel, as the automatic "close-proximity" safety logic may be bypassed.
Installation Note: Requires drilling two holes in your universal seat mount base for secure.

• Late Model (Flat Pure Magnetic)- Identified by a single bolt-hole vertical tab.
