FAQs: Airbag Proxy
The airbag proxy simulator is used to satisfy the SRS system when a factory seat is removed and its yellow airbag connector is left unplugged. Leaving the connector open will trigger an airbag warning light and may affect SRS function.

How It Works
Q: Does using the airbag proxy affect other airbags in the vehicle?
A: No. Using the airbag proxy does not affect other airbags in the vehicle. Toyota's SRS system connects airbags in parallel to the airbag control module, and each is activated independently.
Which Proxy Do I Need?
Q: Which proxy works for a Toyota FJ Cruiser?
A: To the best of our research, all FJ Cruisers use the Type 1 proxy. Plug it into the yellow SRS connector under the seat.

Q: Which proxy works for a 200 Series Land Cruiser?
The 200 Series Land Cruiser requires the Type 2 proxy. Plug it into the yellow SRS connector on the yellow harness under the seat.

Q: Will the Type 1 proxy work for a Honda Element?
A: Yes. We have a confirmed customer install showing that all Honda Elements use the same Type 1 proxy.

200 Series Land Cruiser
Q: Does the airbag proxy work for the 200 Series?
A: Yes. The Type 2 proxy plugs into the yellow SRS connector under the front seat. The 200 Series also uses in-seat airbags in the second row, so if you are removing rear seats for a cargo or drawer system, you will need a proxy on each rear SRS connector as well.
Q: What about the second-row seats on my 200 Series?
A: The 200 Series Land Cruiser uses in-seat airbags in the second row. If you are removing the rear seats for a cargo setup, drawer system, or full bed conversion, you will need a Type 2 proxy on each of those yellow SRS harness connectors -- one per seat removed.
