Overview
This package provides a complete, engineered solution for installing a scheel-mann KLIMA seat into the driver position of the FJ Cruiser while retaining Toyota’s factory safety systems and eliminating airbag and occupancy warning lights.
The KLIMA seat builds upon the proven ergonomics of the Vario F and Vario F XXL, adding active ventilation for improved comfort during hot weather, along with integrated heating for cold conditions.
Seat comfort and adjustability
scheel-mann KLIMA seats feature an active ventilation system with integrated fans in the seat base and backrest, helping regulate temperature and reduce heat buildup during extended drives.
Integrated heating provides comfort in cold conditions, while the seat’s orthopedic design supports proper posture and spinal alignment during long trips.
With multi-point adjustability, the KLIMA seat can be tailored to a wide range of body types and seating preferences.

Vehicle-specific mounting solution
Unlike universal brackets and sliders typically required for aftermarket seat installations, this package includes a vehicle-specific Tolerance Stack KLIMA mounting system engineered specifically for the FJ Cruiser.
This is the only solution designed to install scheel-mann KLIMA seats into the FJ Cruiser while:
Retaining Toyota occupancy sensors
Preventing SRS and occupancy warning lights
Maintaining proper seating height
Preserving the factory seat belt mounting location
This is not a universal or one-size-fits-all bracket.
Integrated storage and switch provisions
The redesigned KLIMA mounting plate incorporates integrated storage directly into the seat base, providing additional usable space without compromising structural integrity.
Two Toyota-style 22.2 mm cube accessory switch openings are integrated into the outboard side panel. These openings are intended for accessory switches only and are not designed for seat heating or cooling controls.
When not in use, the switch openings are filled with blank inserts to maintain a clean, OEM-style appearance.
Safety system integration
By retaining Toyota’s factory sensors, all original SRS airbag functions continue to operate as designed, with the exception of the in-seat airbag removed when installing any aftermarket seat.
That circuit is properly addressed using a vehicle-specific airbag proxy, included as part of the package.
Structurally, the factory seat belt mounting location is retained without the use of secondary or compromised mounting points.

Important notes
The FJ Cruiser was not offered with factory seat heaters. Heating and cooling functions are operated using the scheel-mann supplied controls.
