Overview

This package provides everything required to install a scheel-mann Vario seat into the driver position of the FJ Cruiser while retaining Toyota’s factory safety systems and eliminating airbag warning lights.

The Vario seat focuses on ergonomic support and adjustability, offering a substantial improvement over the factory seat for daily driving and long-distance travel.

Seat comfort and adjustability

scheel-mann Vario seats are built around an orthopedic design that supports the natural curvature of the spine and allows the driver to fine-tune fit and posture.

Vehicle-specific mounting solution

This package includes a vehicle-specific Tolerance Stack driver-side mounting system engineered exclusively for the FJ Cruiser. This is not a universal bracket.

The mount sits the seat just under the midpoint of the factory height range and includes an integrated storage box under the seat.

Safety system integration

By retaining Toyota’s factory sensors, all original SRS airbag functions continue to operate as designed, with

the exception of the in-seat airbag removed when installing any aftermarket seat.

That circuit is properly addressed using a vehicle-specific airbag proxy, included with the package.

Structurally, the factory seat belt mounting location is retained, avoiding the use of secondary or compromised mounting points.

Seat heating integration

scheel-mann Vario seats include integrated seat heating. Since the FJ Cruiser was not offered with factory seat heaters, this package includes the necessary heater harness extension for use with the scheel-mann supplied wiring.
