Our innovative approach centers on reusing the fore-aft motor assembly and rail system from your existing 4Runner driver's seat, ensuring you retain the convenient powered seat movement you're accustomed to. What sets our kit apart is the meticulous engineering to integrate seamlessly with your vehicle's complex electronics. It maintains factory seat belt sensor functionality and, crucially, communicates correctly with the vehicle's systems to prevent any SRS (airbag) or other diagnostic error lights – a problem uniquely solved by our kit.
 
Installation is designed to be as integrated as possible, including all specialized components and wiring needed to tie into existing systems. Our specialized seat heater harness allows you to tie into the factory heating system (if vehicle has factory heated seats), meaning your existing dashboard heat buttons will control the heating function of your new Scheel-Mann heated or Klima heated and cooled seat, without triggering any electronic issues related to the vehicle's computer.
 
Note on Core Charge: Please note that your stock OEM seat heater harness, which you will not use for the upgrade, is needed back at Tolerance Stack because one of those connectors is not available. The one we will ship for your order was a donor connector. That core charge is $100 and is immediately refunded once the self-address pre-labeled padded envelop we ship with your order comes back to us for reuse.
 
Note on Cooling: For scheel-mann Klima seats, the cooling function is controlled independently from the factory heating system, typically via separate round control buttons provided with the scheel-mann seat, which are typically added to the center console. Our kit facilitates the overall seat swap and heating integration, but the cooling control is managed separately. We are actively developing an integrated solution to allow control of the cooling function using factory-looking switches in the future.
 
Note on Seat Position Memory: All of this kit and options assume that your 5th Gen 4Runner does NOT have Seat Position Memory. If your 4Runner does have this option you will need to notify us at the time of ordering so that we can be sure we attach the correct connector.

Important Considerations:
* This kit is currently for the Driver's Side only. The passenger side is in development.
* Installation requires the removal and partial disassembly of your OEM 4Runner driver's seat to extract the factory fore-aft motor and rail assembly.
* This kit is designed around integrating with the OEM powered fore-aft system; a 100% manual seat setup is not possible using this kit.
* Compatible with Scheel-Mann Vario F and XXL seats equipped with heating or Klima (heated and cooled) functions. The kit integrates the heating control with factory buttons and ensures no electronic errors. Cooling control is managed separately by controls provided with the Scheel-Mann seat (typically round buttons for the center console), with a future integrated solution in development.
* Customer reuses the OEM seat belt and harness with the included seat belt bracket and hardware.
