Our stance hasn't changed. A clamped array can't tell an adult from a child or an empty seat, so the passenger airbag will deploy at full force no matter who/what is sitting there. When the OEM or aftermarket seat is available, the right answer is a mount that keeps the load cells working as Toyota designed them.

Our customer approached the installation with careful attention to detail, particularly focusing on the critical harness connections and sensor integrations that maintain factory safety systems. The passenger seat installation took approximately 5 hours, with the customer taking a methodical approach to ensure everything was done correctly.

The "fold-flat" passenger seat is a distinctive feature found on certain 2nd Generation Toyota Tacoma Access Cab models (2005-2015), including the 2009 model in question. This design allows the passenger seatback to fold forward 90 degrees, creating a flat surface for cargo or a workstation.
