Important Note 
The passenger side mount requires removing the factory rear heater and blower assembly. That unit takes up nearly all the space the storage compartment would otherwise use, and once it's removed, it's removed. This isn't a small detail to skim past. If you still rely on that rear heat, use the standard universal mount instead, no removal required.
 
Description
Most aftermarket mounts for these seats are a flat plate with four legs welded on, no bracing between them. That holds up fine on pavement, but off road, the whole thing can shift and wobble under you. We built this mount as one rigid, boxed structure instead, so the load is carried by the whole assembly, not four independent weld joints.
 
Every seat mount leaves an empty cavity under the seat once the factory seat is out of the way, most just leave it empty. Ours encloses that cavity into real, usable storage, taking advantage of the scheel-mann Vario F's lift up center cushion.
 
The seatbelt bracket lets the buckle move with the seat on its sliders, the way it does from the factory, instead of staying fixed in one spot. A dedicated spacer plate keeps the mount level on the side that doesn't carry the bracket. Every fastener is welded in as a captive point, so you're threading a bolt, not holding a nut behind a panel you can't reach.
 
A laser cut, black anodized side plate finishes the look, hiding the rails and sliders and giving the install a clean, professional finish to match what you've already spent on the seat.
 
We power the scheel-mann heating elements and fans off the factory rear heater/blower relay rather than the OEM seat heater switch, since that route needs extra parts most trucks don't have. Control is through scheel-mann's own round switches. One harness handles both seats, you only need it once even if you're starting with a single side.
 
We're also developing a +1.25" "command height" option for a higher seating position. Still being finalized, more to come.
