In order to keep all of the sensors functioning correctly we knew we had to keep the seat rails at the minimum. But of the 5th Gen 4Runner the updated Toyota design of the seat rails meant we needed to keep for the seat’s fore/aft motor. All of the design considerations were based around the drive motor, the occupancy sensor, the seatbelt sensor, the load-cell array and the SRS computer. We are at the point where we are just finalizing the last touches before going into full production.
